My landlord filed an execution case against me regarding non payment of rent. I paid the full financial claim and closed the case.
I have been asking the landlord for over 37 days to refund my security deposit as I have evacuated the apartment.
The building management have now just informed me that I owe them a penalty of 3000 aed for 3 bounced cheques (which were 3 signature irregularities and not a case of no funds available) over the previous case of nonpayment of rent (which I already paid the full financial claim). Furthemore, they are also claiming that I owe them a gas fee but they never provided me with a bill upon move out during the inspection.
I do not owe them any more money and clearly they are cheating me out of my security deposit. They are claiming that they will take legal action against me again.
Can they take legal account against this now when they did not include these penalty charges in the execution case?
