Intellectual Property

Intellectual property law in the United Arab Emirates is based on international standards of protection. The UAE has enacted a number of laws and regulations to protect copyright, trademarks, patents, industrial designs, and other types of intellectual property. The UAE has also entered into several international treaties, such as the Berne Convention, the World Trade Organization's Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS), and the Paris Convention. Likewise, the UAE offers a wide range of resources for IP owners, such as registration and enforcement services, and legal advice and support.
